As a Transformation Consultant at Greyamp, I help organizations through their journey of Digital transformation by adopting Agile methodologies. I enable teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively by setting up processes through the entire value chain, from value identification to realisation. My role involves setting up Agile processes, enhancing productivity across process & tech, people & competencies, org & governance and culture & mindset.
Day in life of a TC is very dynamic in nature. It literally depends on what stage the engagement is in. Hence, I would like to break this down- Discover & Design - Conduct Discovery workshops and interviews with the leadership and leads spending time assessing key drivers and metrics, identifying potential early adopters who can serve as ambassadors, and defining clear OKRs to align efforts. Regular tasks might include collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate program effectiveness, monitoring value and health metrics, and ensuring that all initiatives are on track to meet established success criteria Align & Aware - Have sessions aligning teams on upcoming changes, discussing the impact and importance of these transformations. Then lead Agile Primer sessions to introduce teams to Agile methodologies, followed by role-specific and tool-specific onboarding training. This period is concluded with a leadership alignment session focused on approach and governance to ensure everyone is on the same page - Enable & Coach - During enablement, a consultant’s day involves working with the early adopter teams through the new processes set up, measuring and tracking progress on agreed-upon value and health metrics, evaluating competencies, and developing plans for key roles. We then identify champions for future scaling, initiate programs aligned with the New Ways of Working, and kick-start delivery with necessary tools like JIRA. Throughout the 90-day delivery period, we provide coaching to drive outcome-focused programs and conduct role-specific training refreshers as needed. - Sustain & Scale - Work in setting up academies to scale digital talent and leading train-the-trainer programs for sustainability. Additionally, we establish approaches for scaling to other functions, develop organizational and team models, and ensure effective governance and Agile program management at scale, while assessing process and tech maturity.
The most rewarding aspect is witnessing the transformation in how teams collaborate and deliver value. Seeing a team evolve from fragmented workflows to a cohesive, Agile unit is incredibly fulfilling. The challenges lie in driving cultural change and ensuring consistent adoption of Agile practices across different teams and departments. However, the impact of a well-implemented Agile framework, resulting in more predictable and efficient project outcomes, makes every challenge worthwhile.
